I was introduced to the CrowdPoint vision in February 2021 and was excited to see technology move in a direction that respects and values the originator of the information (namely everyday people) used to enhance sales of big businesses.
Addressing the invasion into the private lives of people to make money and control the information we have access to is long overdue. We all know our private info is required when we search online for products or services. We have become submissive as everyday consumers as we function on autopilot, providing whatever is asked of us to get the product or service we desire. We give away our private data in order to get information or to place an order or we are not able to proceed. A simple email subscription to get access to a news channel can provide enough info on a person for them to be held hostage to the limitations of the logarithms required by the search engine qualifying criteria that dictates what you can and cannot see. This concept of being held hostage to the requirements and criteria of a company or service removes the freedom of our right of choice when it comes to health, happiness, wellness, finances, and our faith, to name a few.
The companies that have the resources to buy customers for their products via social media or television and radio advertising overshadow the opportunity for the small start-up business. The CrowdPoint system levels this playing field and that excites me.
The vision of the CrowdPoint developers is to create a win-win relationship between the business and the consumer of all income levels, from the single parent creating a product in their home to those who can afford the marketing costs required to attract ongoing high numbers of customers. With this mission, as the vision unfolds at CrowdPoint through using Blockchain technology, turning the stolen private information a person provided when shopping online into an opportunity for many businesses and customers to exchange information in an online platform that provides both protection and privacy.
