Why I Joined The Blockchain Ecosystem Powered by CrowdPoint

I started my working life in Office equipment after a few “fill in Jobs”. I was always interested in how things worked. I was a tinkerer. After several years of repairing and servicing office equipment, the internet of things came along. The old “clunky photocopiers and Facsimile machines” became the second choice of GOTO.

Instead of researching through huge volumes of books that were lugged home from local libraries, then painstakingly bookmarked with “pieces of paper or adhesive notes” along came this new technology called "the Internet". Where one could search more subjects than an Encyclopedia. With this new technology came an explosion of new designs and equipment to simplify office administration tasks. As printers became smaller, and more accessible new technology as electronic whiteboards and photo printers appeared. These items became integral pieces of offices and workplaces revolutionizing work practices and efficiency.

Is it evolution or revolution?  It’s a little of both. I have always been fascinated with new technology and making the most of it. From Palm PILOTS to Rch Source Messaging, technology has always impressed me. From paper maps to smartphone apps, life has changed.

I had a career change 15 years ago and spent some time as a correctional services officer. I missed the lure of new technology and “the way it simplified tasks in the evolving world”. I, unfortunately, had a workplace accident, shattering my shoulder and leaving me unable to continue on this path.

I always wanted to own my own technology business, so I started to learn about business and marketing. I met a friend who introduced me to Blockchain technology recently. Being at the forefront of a new emerging market excites me.
