Why I became a MicroPreneur?

This is a great question because MicroPreneur is a new word to me! I never heard of that word, it sounds similar to Entrepreneur but what’s the difference?

A MicroPreneur is a person who starts a small business and is responsible for all the tasks involved in running their business. They are versatile in their skills. They handle every aspect of their business. Unlike an Entrepreneur who hires people to help them grow and delegates many of the tasks. The mindset of an Entrepreneur is to grow big. Unlike the MicroPreneur who wants to build something that offers real value and helps their customers while serving others.

This is where CrowdPoint Technologies came into my life. I had an opportunity to become a distributor with them, becoming a MicroPreneur. Their motto is “a trusted agent in an untrusted world”. CrowdPoint Technologies is passionate about protecting the human identity and surveillance capitalism. This is what really got me hooked.

I was a victim of identity fraud back in 1997 before I entered the information highway known as the internet. I received a phone call from a bank asking if I applied for a Visa Gold Card. In answering NO, it turned my life upside down. I learned I needed to be one step in front of what they were doing to me. Besides applying with paper applications for credit cards in my name, they were attacking my existing personal credit cards and changing my address to receive my credit cards. The bank did a controlled delivery on a credit card but the apartment number didn’t match. I learned new words back then: mail theft, dumpster diving, and fraud rings. Over 20 years ago I purchased my 1st paper shredder for protection. In today’s world with cyber attacks, we need to protect ourselves with the latest technology.
