Why Microprenuer?

My 20+ years of working in retail not only has given me some excellent skillsets, but it has also robbed me of any freedom. You see, for me working 40 to 50+ hours weekly and barely making the mortgage payments felt like slavery. I felt a longing for something better, the ultimate dream job, not a job where the boss has high, unattainable expectations, enduring undue stress to all involved. I also knew that retirement was an unreachable fantasy that I would never see unless I changed my mindset and career. I had built up a small 401K in the 17 years to one employer. Still, I quickly lost all of it upon rolling it into another account, in which the IRS claimed I cashed out, therefore taking 45%, and the rest of it went in fees to the account holder (I did use a small amount for education.) However, I was completely unaware of the cost that I would pay.

I always had an Entrepreneur mindset; however, I didn't have the knowledge or collateral to fulfill anything. So several years back, after being fired from the 17-year employer and going through a divorce, I decided to pursue a new career. I had always wanted to learn about Broadcasting, preferably radio, so my research began. Upon my research, I soon started seeing ads for online businesses and quickly became intrigued. Unfortunately, I began spending tons of money, including being duped out of thousands of dollars. I gave up for a spell but found myself back at it when this mean 'ole covid hit last year.

Backing up a bit here, I had the opportunity to move east of Atlanta, Georgia, to help out a friend. Therefore I could pursue Broadcasting school. Upon completing Broadcasting school, I learned about Voiceover work, and thus, I changed my direction to that. All the while, I have been working a Retail Merchandising job to pay for school, room, and board. I had just begun being coached for Voiceover when covid hit, throwing everything out of content for me. However, I still plunged forward, as this was all through Skype. It has now become a challenge getting 'gigs.'

Upon covid rearing its ugliness, I began searching once again for online businesses, determined to land the right one, as I no longer wanted to work in public due to the covid situation. I then began looking for answers about this virus and stumbled upon like-minded people and several Dr.'s who have since left all media platforms. I was offered an opportunity of a lifetime from one of those Dr's, in which I am incredibly grateful to be involved. It led me to the utmost dream of my lifetime, to become a MicroPrenuer with Advanced Medicine Exchange through CrowdPoint. I could not ask for more, and this has been everything I wanted.
